This manual provides essential information for the safe and efficient operation of your Taurus Velvet 12-Cup Drip Coffee Maker. Please read all instructions carefully before first use and retain for future reference.
The Taurus Velvet coffee maker is designed for brewing up to 12 cups of drip coffee, featuring a glass carafe, a reusable filter, and an automatic shut-off function for convenience and safety.
Nga Tohutohu Haumaru Nui

Tatūnga
- Wewete ana: Carefully remove all packaging materials and promotional labels from your coffee maker.
- Te horoi tuatahi: Before first use, wash the glass carafe and reusable filter in warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry. Wipe the exterior of the coffee maker with a soft, damp kakahu.
- First Cycle (without coffee): Fill the water reservoir to the MAX 12-cup line with fresh, cold water. Place the empty reusable filter in the filter basket. Place the empty carafe on the warming plate. Plug the coffee maker into a standard electrical outlet. Press the On/Off switch to start a brewing cycle. Allow the full cycle to complete. Discard the water from the carafe. This process cleans the internal components and removes any manufacturing residues.
- Turanga: Place the coffee maker on a flat, stable, heat-resistant surface, away from the edge of the counter. Ensure adequate ventilation around the appliance.
Nga Tohutohu Whakahaere
- Whakakīa te Putunga Wai: Open the top lid of the coffee maker. Fill the glass carafe with the desired amount of fresh, cold water (refer to the cup markings on the carafe). Pour the water from the carafe into the water reservoir. Do not exceed the MAX 12-cup line.
- Tāpirihia nga papa kawhe: Place the reusable filter into the filter basket. Add the desired amount of ground coffee into the reusable filter. A general guideline is one tablespoon of ground coffee per cup, but adjust to your personal preference.
- Katia te taupoki: Katia kia mau te taupoki o runga.
- Te Tūnga o te Karafe: Whakatakotoria te ipu karaihe kau ki runga i te pereti whakamahana. Me whakarite kia tika te whakanoho hei whakahohe i te tikanga aukati-maturuturu.
- Tīmatahia te mahi waipiro: Plug the coffee maker into a standard electrical outlet. Press the On/Off switch. The indicator light will illuminate, signifying that the brewing cycle has begun.
- E mahi ana: The brewing process will automatically stop when all the water has passed through. The warming plate will keep the coffee hot until the automatic shut-off activates. You can remove the carafe at any time during the brewing cycle to pour a cup, and the drip-stop feature will temporarily halt the coffee flow. Return the carafe to the warming plate within 20 seconds to prevent overflow.
- Weto-Aunoa: The coffee maker features an automatic shut-off for safety and energy efficiency, turning off after a period of inactivity.

- I mua i te horoi: Always unplug the coffee maker from the electrical outlet and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
- Carafe and Reusable Filter: Wash the glass carafe and reusable filter in warm, soapy water after each use. They can also be placed on the top rack of a dishwasher. Rinse thoroughly.
- Kete Tātari: The filter basket can be removed for cleaning. Wash it in warm, soapy water and rinse thoroughly.
- Waho: Horoia nga mata o waho o te hanga kawhe ki te ngohengohe, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads. Never immerse the coffee maker in water or other liquids.
- Te whakakorikori: Mineral deposits from water can build up over time and affect performance. Descale your coffee maker every 2-4 weeks, depending on water hardness.
