Follow these steps to set up your Audioengine D1:

    • Mo Nga Pouaka: Plug your headphones into the 3.5mm headphone jack on the front of the D1.
    • For External Speakers: Connect the Analog Out (RCA) ports on the back of the D1 to the corresponding inputs on your powered speakers or amplifier using RCA cables (not included).
    • For Optical Input: If using an optical source (e.g., TV, gaming console), connect an optical cable (not included) from your source to the Optical In port on the back of the D1.
  4. Driver Installation (Windows/macOS): The Audioengine D1 is a plug-and-play device and typically does not require special drivers for Windows or macOS. Your operating system should automatically recognize the device.
  5. Tīpakonga Putanga Ororongo: On your computer, navigate to your sound settings and select "Audioengine D1" as the default audio output device.

3. Nga Tohutohu Whakahaere

The Audioengine D1 is designed for straightforward operation:

  • Hiko Whakaka/Weto: Press the "Power" button on the front panel to turn the unit on or off. The LED indicator will illuminate when the unit is on.
  • Mana Rōrahi: Adjust the "Output Level" knob on the front to control the volume for both the headphone output and the analog RCA outputs.
  • Kōwhiringa Tāuru: The D1 automatically detects the active input. If both USB and Optical inputs are connected, the D1 will prioritize the active signal.
  • Whakamahi Puoro: When headphones are plugged into the front jack, the analog RCA outputs will remain active, allowing simultaneous output to headphones and speakers.
