Before using your Coby CSMP49 Portable Speaker System, please follow these setup instructions:

The speaker system includes a built-in rechargeable Lithium Ion battery. For optimal performance, fully charge the battery before first use.
- Locate the mini-USB charging port on the side of the speaker.
- Connect the provided USB charging cable to the speaker's mini-USB port.
- Connect the other end of the USB cable to a powered USB port (e.g., computer USB port, USB wall adapter).
- The LED indicator light will illuminate during charging and typically change color or turn off when charging is complete. A full charge provides approximately 2.25 hours of playback.
2. Te Whakakaha/Weto
Locate the power switch (often labeled "OFF/ON") on the side of the speaker. Slide the switch to the "ON" position to power on the device. Slide it to the "OFF" position to power off.

The CSMP49 offers multiple ways to play audio:
- 3.5mm Line-In: Use the included 3.5mm audio cable to connect the speaker's "LINE IN" jack to the headphone jack or audio output of your external device (MP3 player, smartphone, laptop, tablet).
- Kāri SD: Insert an SD memory card containing MP3 files into the "SD" slot. Ensure the card is inserted correctly with the contacts facing down.

1. Audio Playback from External Device (Line-In)
- Ensure your external audio device is connected to the speaker's 3.5mm "LINE IN" jack.
