3. Accu-Chek FastClix Lancing Device Setup

The Accu-Chek FastClix lancing device uses a drum with 6 preloaded lancets. This design eliminates the need to handle individual lancets.

  1. Insert Lancet Drum: Remove the cap from the lancing device. Insert a new lancet drum into the device. The drum will click into place.

Follow these steps for accurate blood glucose measurement:

  1. Prepare the Lancing Device: Ensure the FastClix lancing device is loaded with a lancet drum and the depth setting is appropriate. To prime the device, press the priming button until it clicks.

  5. Apply Blood to Test Strip: Touch the tip of the test strip to the blood drop. The strip will draw the blood into the reaction area. Do not smear the blood.
  6. Panui Hua: The meter will count down and display your blood glucose result in approximately 5 seconds.
  7. Mark Results (Optional): The Accu-Chek Nano allows for pre- and post-meal markers. Use the meter's buttons to apply the appropriate marker to your result if desired.
  8. Dispose of Lancet and Strip: Eject the used test strip and advance the lancet drum in the FastClix device to the next fresh lancet. Dispose of used lancets and test strips safely in a sharps container or according to local regulations.
