Always read and understand the safety instructions before using the Fluke 325 Clamp Meter. Failure to follow safety warnings can result in serious injury or death.
- Kaua e whakamahia te mita mēnā kua pakaru, kua hē rānei te mahi.
- Manatokohia te mahi a te mita i runga i te voltage e mōhiotia anatagte pūtake i mua i te whakamahinga.
- Kia tupato ki te mahi tahi me te voltages above 30 V AC RMS, 42 V AC peak, or 60 V DC. These voltaghe morearea ohorere.
- Whakamahia tonu ngā pito, te mahi, me te awhe tika mō āu inenga.
- Puritia ngā maihao ki muri i ngā ārai maihao o ngā taputapu whakamātautau.
- The Fluke 325 is rated for CAT IV 300 V and CAT III 600 V. Ensure the meter's rating is appropriate for the environment where it will be used.
3. Te Timata: Tatūnga
Tāuta Pūhiko
The Fluke 325 requires two AA batteries (included). To install or replace batteries:
- Me mohio kua whakawetohia te mita.
Mo te voltage, resistance, continuity, frequency, temperature, and capacitance measurements, connect the test leads to the appropriate input jacks:
- Insert the black test lead into the COM (common) jack.
- Insert the red test lead into the VΩHz jack for most measurements.

Waea Kaitono Waea
The large yellow rotary dial on the front of the meter is used to select the desired measurement function. Turn the dial to the appropriate setting for your task.
AC/DC Current Measurement (Clamp)
To measure AC or DC current:
- Turn the function dial to the ∼A (AC current) or =A (DC current) position.
- Whakatuwheratia te clamp jaws by pressing the lever.
- Place the jaws around a single conductor. Ensure the jaws are fully closed.
- Pānuihia te uara o nāianei i te whakaaturanga.

Voltage Inenga (AC/DC)
Hei ine AC, DC ranei voltage:
- Connect the test leads as described in the 'Connecting Test Leads' section.
- Turn the function dial to the ∼V (AC voltage) or =V (DC voltage) tūnga.
- Touch the test probes to the circuit points where voltage me ine.
- Pānuihia te voltage uara kei runga i te whakaaturanga.
Ātete me te Tonu
To measure resistance or check continuity:
- Connect the test leads.
- Turn the function dial to the Ω (resistance/continuity) position.
- Touch the test probes across the component or circuit path.
- For resistance, read the value on the display. For continuity, the meter will beep if a continuous path is detected.
Frequency, Temperature, and Capacitance
The Fluke 325 also offers specialized measurements:
- Auau (Hz): Select the Hz function to measure the frequency of AC signals.
- Paemahana (°C/°F): Use the included temperature probe and select the temperature function to measure temperature.
- Te kaha: Select the capacitance function to measure the capacitance of components.
True-RMS Accuracy
The True-RMS feature ensures accurate measurements of AC voltage and current, even when waveforms are distorted or non-sinusoidal. This is crucial for modern electrical systems with non-linear loads.
Whakaaturanga Paarua
The Fluke 325 features a backlit display for improved visibility in dimly lit environments. Press the backlight button to activate or deactivate the backlight.

5. Tiaki me te Tiaki
Te horoi
Hei horoi i te mita, murua ki te adamp he kakahu me te horoi ngawari. Kaua e whakamahi i te abrasive me te whakarewa. Me whakarite kua maroke katoa te mita i mua i te whakamahi.
Whakakapinga Pūhiko
When the battery indicator appears on the display, replace the batteries as described in the 'Battery Installation' section.
Rokiroki
Store the meter in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. If storing for extended periods, remove the batteries to prevent leakage.
6. Raparongoā Nga take noa
- Karekau he Whakaatu/Hiro: Tirohia te tāutanga o te pākahiko, kia mōhio ai kāore ngā pākahiko e pau.
- Nga Panui Heke: Verify correct function and range selection. Ensure test leads are properly connected and not damaged. For current measurements, ensure the clamp jaws are fully closed around a single conductor.
- Continuity Beeper Not Working: Check if the function dial is set to continuity and test leads are making good contact.
- 'OL' on Display: This indicates an overload or out-of-range measurement. Select a higher range or ensure the measured value is within the meter's specifications.
