This base kit is designed to provide a stable and level foundation for Arrow and Storboss storage buildings measuring 4'x10', 8'x6', and 10'x6'. It is not compatible with buildings featuring swing doors. Please read all instructions carefully before beginning assembly to ensure proper installation and safety.
The FDN106 Base Kit is constructed from durable HDG Steel, designed to self-square your storage building prior to completing assembly. It can be finished with various flooring materials such as plywood, gravel, or concrete, and can also serve as a form for pouring a concrete slab.

Always wear appropriate personal protective equipment, including gloves, when handling metal parts, as some components may have sharp edges. Ensure the ground is level before installation. Do not step on channels until the flooring material is in place.

The FDN106 Base Kit includes various galvanized steel channels and fasteners required for assembly. Refer to the packing list provided with your kit to verify all parts are present before starting assembly.

Tatūnga me te Runanga
Proper site preparation and careful assembly are crucial for the longevity and stability of your shed base. Ensure the ground is level and clear of debris before beginning.
Whakaritenga Pae:
- Choose a flat, level area for your shed. The base kit requires a level surface for correct assembly and structural integrity.
- Clear the area of any rocks, roots, or other obstructions.
- If necessary, level the ground using a rake, shovel, or other appropriate tools. Use a 4-foot level to check for evenness across the entire footprint of the shed.
Nga Waahi Huinga:
- Unpack all components and lay them out according to the assembly instructions provided in your kit. Identify all channels and fasteners.
- Begin by assembling the perimeter frame. The channels are designed to fit together, often by nesting one "C" channel inside another.
- Secure the channels using the provided screws or bolts. Pay close attention to the diagrams in your manual for correct hole alignment and fastener orientation (some are bolted on the sides, others on top).
- Once the perimeter is complete, install the cross members. These will sit on the main frame and provide support for your chosen flooring material.
- Ensure all connections are tightened securely. The base kit is designed to self-square the shed, so accurate assembly is important.

The FDN106 Base Kit provides a versatile foundation for your shed, allowing for various flooring options:
- Plywood Flooring: Cut plywood sheets to fit within the assembled frame. Secure the plywood to the frame using appropriate fasteners.
- Gravel Base: Fill the interior of the assembled frame with gravel to create a permeable and stable floor.
- Papa Raima: The base kit can be used as a formwork for pouring a concrete slab. Ensure proper preparation and curing of the concrete.
Always ensure that the chosen flooring material is properly installed and secured to prevent shifting and maintain the structural integrity of the shed.

To ensure the longevity of your FDN106 Base Kit and the shed it supports, regular maintenance is recommended:
- Tirotiro: Periodically inspect the frame for any signs of corrosion, loose fasteners, or damage. Tighten any loose screws or bolts.
- Te horoi: Keep the area around and within the base clear of debris, leaves, and standing water to prevent moisture buildup and potential corrosion.
- Taumata: Over time, ground conditions may shift. Re-check the levelness of the base periodically and make adjustments if necessary to prevent stress on the shed structure.
