Proper site preparation and careful assembly are crucial for the longevity and stability of your shed base. Ensure the ground is level and clear of debris before beginning.

Whakaritenga Pae:

  1. Choose a flat, level area for your shed. The base kit requires a level surface for correct assembly and structural integrity.
  2. Clear the area of any rocks, roots, or other obstructions.
  3. If necessary, level the ground using a rake, shovel, or other appropriate tools. Use a 4-foot level to check for evenness across the entire footprint of the shed.

Nga Waahi Huinga:

  1. Unpack all components and lay them out according to the assembly instructions provided in your kit. Identify all channels and fasteners.
  2. Begin by assembling the perimeter frame. The channels are designed to fit together, often by nesting one "C" channel inside another.
  3. Secure the channels using the provided screws or bolts. Pay close attention to the diagrams in your manual for correct hole alignment and fastener orientation (some are bolted on the sides, others on top).
  4. Once the perimeter is complete, install the cross members. These will sit on the main frame and provide support for your chosen flooring material.
  5. Ensure all connections are tightened securely. The base kit is designed to self-square the shed, so accurate assembly is important.
