Before first use, ensure all parts are clean. Refer to the 'Cleaning and Maintenance' section for details.
- Attaching to Stand Mixer: Ensure your KitchenAid Stand Mixer is unplugged. Locate the power hub on the front of your stand mixer. Unscrew the attachment hub knob. Insert the attachment shaft into the power hub, ensuring the shaft is fully engaged. Tighten the attachment hub knob until the attachment is securely fastened.
- Assembling the Attachment: Place the food processor bowl onto the attachment housing. Insert the desired disc (slicing, shredding, or julienne) onto the drive shaft within the bowl. Secure the lid onto the bowl, ensuring it locks into place. Insert the food pusher into the feed tube.

5. Nga Tohutohu Whakahaere
The KitchenAid KSM1FPA offers versatile processing options:
- Tapahi: Use the slicing disc. Adjust the slicing thickness using the external ExactSlice™ lever. Place ingredients into the wide feed tube. Use the food pusher to guide ingredients through the disc.
- Horoihia: Use the shredding disc. Place ingredients into the wide feed tube. Use the food pusher to guide ingredients through the disc.
- Julienning: Use the julienne disc. Place ingredients into the wide feed tube. Use the food pusher to guide ingredients through the disc.
- Tautuhinga Hiko: Your stand mixer controls the speed. Start with a lower speed for softer ingredients and gradually increase for harder items. For quick bursts, use the pulse function on your stand mixer.

Proper cleaning ensures the longevity and hygiene of your attachment.
- Whakakorea: Unplug the stand mixer. Remove the attachment from the power hub. Disassemble the food processor attachment by removing the lid, food pusher, and processing disc.
- Horoi: The bowl, lid, food pusher, and discs are top-rack dishwasher safe. Alternatively, wash them by hand with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely before storing.
- Whare: Wipe the attachment housing with a damp kakahu. Kaua e rukuhia te whare ki te wai.
- Rokiroki: Store the discs and food pusher in the provided storage case to protect them and keep them organized.

If you encounter issues with your KitchenAid Food Processor Attachment, refer to the following common solutions:
