Hononga Mana
The Alter Ego V2 requires a 9V DC power supply, center negative, with a minimum current draw of 100mA. Ensure you use a compatible power adapter to prevent damage to the unit. Connect the power adapter to the 9V DC input jack on the pedal.

- TIME KUPU: Adjusts the delay time, from short slap-back echoes to long, atmospheric repeats.
- KUPU WHAKAARO: Controls the number of repeats. Turn clockwise for more repeats, counter-clockwise for fewer.
- Taumata Knob: Sets the volume of the delayed signal.
- DELAY TYPE Selector Knob: This 11-position rotary switch allows you to select between various vintage delay models and the TonePrint (TP) slot. The available types include:

- Mini-Toggle Switches: Two small switches located between the main knobs. These typically control additional parameters such as modulation depth, subdivision, or other specific characteristics depending on the selected delay type. - Takawaenga: Engages or bypasses the effect. In Looper mode, it controls recording, playback, and overdubbing.
TonePrint Functionality
The Alter Ego V2 supports TC Electronic's TonePrint technology. This allows you to beam custom-tuned delay sounds created by famous guitarists or design your own using the free TonePrint Editor software. To use TonePrint:
- Download the TonePrint App for your smartphone or the TonePrint Editor for your computer from the TC Electronic webpae.
- Select the 'TP' position on the DELAY TYPE selector knob.
- Follow the instructions in the app or software to load a TonePrint into your pedal.
Mahi Looper
When the DELAY TYPE selector is set to 'LP', the pedal functions as a looper. The footswitch controls the looping functions:
- Panui Kotahi: Start recording a loop.
- Single Press (while recording): Stop recording and start playback.
- Double Press (while playing): Kati te purei ano.
- Press and Hold (while playing): Undo/Redo last overdub.
- Press and Hold (while stopped): Clear the loop.
