- Disconnect electrical power and shut off the gas supply to the furnace before beginning any work.
- Remove the furnace access panel to gain access to the control area.
- Carefully label and disconnect all wiring from the existing ignition control. Then, remove the existing ignition control from its mounting in the control box.
- Install the provided circuit breaker in the unit control box or secure the circuit breaker to a wire harness using wire ties.
- Position the provided mounting panel so that the black arrow on the front of the panel is pointing upwards. Align the replacement SureLight ignition control over the holes marked "A" in Figure 1 (refer to the manual's diagram). Insert the replacement control stand-off fasteners (which are already integrated into the control) into the corresponding holes in the mounting panel. Snap the replacement SureLight® ignition control securely onto the mounting panel.
- Insert the four provided stand-off fasteners into the back of the mounting panel, aligning them with the holes marked "B" in Figure 1. Snap the mounting panel (including the newly installed control) into the control box.
