Assembly of the Amazon Basics Patio Heater is straightforward. Follow these steps:
- Wewete Waenga: Carefully remove all parts from the packaging and ensure all components listed in the manual are present and undamaged.
- Huihuia te turanga: Attach the wheels to the base unit. If desired, fill the water box in the base with water or sand for additional stability.
- Tāutahia te Tāke Propane: Open the access door on the base unit. Place a standard 20-pound liquid propane (LP) gas tank (not included) inside the base. Secure the tank using the provided chain.
- Honoa te Raina Hau: Connect the heater's gas line to the propane tank valve. Ensure a tight, leak-free connection.
- Huihuia te Pou Tautoko: Attach the support pole sections together and then secure the pole to the base unit.
- Huihuinga Pūtahu Maunga: Carefully attach the burner assembly to the top of the support pole.
- Attach Reflector Hood: Secure the reflector hood to the top of the burner assembly.

To operate your Amazon Basics Patio Heater:
- Whakatuwhera Puawai Hau: Ensure the propane tank is securely connected. Slowly open the valve on the propane tank to allow gas to flow to the heater.
- Whakawera Whakawera: On the control panel, push in and turn the temperature knob to the 'High' position. While holding the knob in, press the red ignition button repeatedly until the burner ignites. You should hear the gas flow and see a flame.
- Whakaritea te wera: Once ignited, continue to hold the knob in for 10-15 seconds to allow the thermocouple to heat up. Release the knob. You can then adjust the heat output by turning the knob between 'Low' and 'High' settings. The heater provides up to 46,000 BTUs of heat, covering up to a 9-foot radius.
- Turn Off Heater: To turn off the heater, push in the temperature knob and turn it to the 'Off' position. Release the knob. Always close the valve on the propane tank after each use to ensure safety and conserve gas.
