Your Sangean portable radio operates on two AAA batteries. Ensure correct polarity when inserting the batteries.

  1. Locate the Power/Band selector switch on the side of the radio.
  2. Slide the switch to either 'FM' or 'AM' to turn the radio on and select your desired band. Slide to 'OFF' to power down.

Tuning to a Station

  1. Extend the telescopic antenna fully for optimal FM reception. For AM reception, the radio uses a built-in ferrite bar antenna, so no external antenna adjustment is needed.
  2. Rotate the Tuning wheel (usually located on the side) to scan through frequencies.
  3. Observe the LED Tuning Indicator. It will illuminate when you have tuned into a strong and stable signal.

Adjust the volume by rotating the Volume control dial, typically found on the side of the radio. Turn clockwise to increase volume and counter-clockwise to decrease it.

For private listening, plug any standard 3.5mm earphones into the earphone jack. The built-in speaker will automatically mute when earphones are connected.
