  1. Tirohia te Waeine: Before each use, thoroughly inspect the retractable lifeline for any signs of damage, wear, cuts, fraying, corrosion, or deformation. Check the housing, webbing, snap hook, and carabiner. Ensure the fall indicator is not deployed.
  2. Select Anchorage Point: Identify a suitable anchorage point that is structurally sound and capable of supporting 5,000 lbs (22.2 kN) per worker attached, or meets the criteria of a qualified person. The anchorage point should be located directly above the work area to minimize swing fall.
  3. Attach to Anchorage: Use the included steel carabiner to securely attach the swivel-top of the retractable lifeline to the selected anchorage point. Ensure the carabiner gate is fully closed and locked.
  4. Honoa ki te Harness: Attach the forged steel snap hook at the end of the webbing lifeline to the dorsal D-ring of your full-body harness. Ensure the snap hook gate is fully closed and locked.
  5. Manatoko Hononga: Double-check all connections to ensure they are secure and properly engaged.
