1. Hua Neke Atuview

3. Tatūnga
3.1 Paint Preparation

4.2 Airbrushing
- Dilute the paint with Tamiya X-20A Acrylic Thinner to achieve the desired consistency for airbrushing. A common starting ratio is 1 part paint to 1-2 parts thinner, but this may vary based on your airbrush type, nozzle size, and desired effect.
- Use an eyedropper or similar tool to transfer the thinned paint to the airbrush cup.
- Maintain appropriate air pressure (typically 15-25 psi) for even application. Test on a scrap piece first.
- Apply in light, even passes to avoid pooling or runs. Overlap passes slightly for uniform coverage.
5. Tiaki
5.1 Utauta horoi
- Paraihe: Clean brushes immediately after use with water or Tamiya X-20A Acrylic Thinner. Ensure all paint residue is removed to prolong brush life.
- Airbrush: Thoroughly clean your airbrush after each use with Tamiya X-20A Acrylic Thinner to prevent clogging. Disassemble and clean components as recommended by your airbrush manufacturer.
5.2 Rokiroki
- Securely close the bottle cap after use to prevent the paint from drying out.
- Store the paint in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, heat sources, and freezing temperatures.
6. Te Raru
- Paint too thick / Clogging airbrush: Dilute further with Tamiya X-20A Acrylic Thinner. Ensure thorough mixing before use.
- Uneven application / Streaks: Apply thinner coats. Ensure proper dilution and consistent airbrush pressure. For brush painting, use a high-quality brush and smooth, even strokes.
- Slow drying time: Ensure thin coats are applied. Allow adequate ventilation in your workspace. Humidity can also affect drying times.
- Rerekētanga tae: Note that actual colors may vary slightly depending on monitor settings. Always test paint on a scrap piece before applying to your main project to confirm the desired shade.
