2. Hua Neke Atuview
The GATEMAN WF20 is a keyless digital door lock featuring fingerprint recognition and a touch keypad for secure entry. It is designed for modern homes and offices, offering convenience and enhanced security.

Familiarize yourself with the main components of your GATEMAN WF20 lock:

- Matawai Matikara: Located on the top front panel for biometric authentication.
- Papapātuhi Pā: Numeric pad on the front panel for PIN code entry.
- Manual Thumb Turn: On the interior panel for manual locking and unlocking.
- Patene Tuwhera/Kati: On the interior panel for quick locking/unlocking.
- Uwhi Pūhiko: On the interior panel, protecting the battery compartment.
- Patene Tautuhi Anō: Small button on the bottom front for system reset.
3. Tatūnga me te Tāuta
Proper installation is crucial for the optimal performance of your GATEMAN WF20 lock. It is recommended to have the lock installed by a qualified professional.
3.1 Tāuta Pūhiko
- Remove the battery cover from the interior unit.
- Insert four (4) new AA alkaline batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
- Replace the battery cover. The lock will emit a sound indicating it is powered on.
3.2 Initial Setup and Master PIN Registration
Upon first power-up or after a factory reset, you must register a Master PIN code.
- Whakatuwheratia te uhi pākahiko i runga i te waahanga o roto.
- Press the [Registration] button (usually located near the battery compartment).
- On the front keypad, enter your desired 4-12 digit Master PIN code.
- Press the [*] button to confirm.
- Re-enter the Master PIN code.
- Press the [*] button to confirm. A confirmation sound will indicate successful registration.
Tuhipoka: The Master PIN code is essential for managing other user PINs and fingerprints. Keep it confidential.

4.1 Wewete me te Matimati

- Place your registered finger flat on the fingerprint scanner.
- Hold your finger steady until the lock emits a confirmation sound and unlocks.
4.2 Unlocking with PIN Code
- Pā atu ki te papapātuhi hei whakahohe.
- Enter your registered 4-12 digit PIN code.
- Press the [*] button. The lock will emit a confirmation sound and unlock.
4.3 Maukati i te Kuwaha
- Maukati Aunoa: The lock is set to automatically lock after a few seconds when the door is closed.
- Manual Locking (from outside): Touch the keypad or press the '#' button.
- Manual Locking (from inside): Press the 'OPEN/CLOSE' button or turn the manual thumb turn.
4.4 Registering User Fingerprints
- Whakatuwheratia te uhi pākahiko ka pehi i te paatene [Rehita].
- Enter the Master PIN code followed by the [*] button.
- Follow the voice prompts or indicator lights to register the fingerprint. Typically, you will be asked to scan the finger multiple times.
- Press the [Registration] button again to exit registration mode.
4.5 Registering User PIN Codes
- Whakatuwheratia te uhi pākahiko ka pehi i te paatene [Rehita].
- Enter the Master PIN code followed by the [*] button.
- Enter the desired 4-12 digit user PIN code.
- Press the [*] button to confirm.
- Re-enter the user PIN code.
- Press the [*] button to confirm. A confirmation sound will indicate successful registration.
- Press the [Registration] button again to exit registration mode.
5. Tiaki
5.1 Whakakapinga Pūhiko
The lock will provide a low battery warning (audible alarm or indicator light) when batteries are running low. Replace all four AA batteries promptly.

- Insert four (4) new AA alkaline batteries, observing correct polarity.
