  3. Whakawa hinu: Unscrew the fuel cap and fill the tank with the appropriate fuel (Kerosene, #1 & #2 Diesel Fuel, Fuel Oil, JP-8 Fuel, or Jet A Fuel). Do not overfill. Refer to the fuel gauge (Figure 1) to monitor the level. Securely replace the fuel cap.
  4. Hononga Hiko: Plug the power cord into a properly grounded 120V/60Hz outlet. Use a 3-prong grounded extension cord if necessary, ensuring it is rated for outdoor use and the heater's power requirements.

    • Press the ON/OFF button (Figure 2) to turn on the heater.
    • Wait approximately 10 seconds for the LED display to activate.
    • Press the MODE/RESET button to select the desired operating mode (Manual or Thermostat).

    • In Manual Mode, use the UP (▲) and DOWN (▼) arrows (Figure 2) to adjust the heat output (BTU setting).
  3. Thermostat Mode:
    • In Thermostat Mode, use the UP (▲) and DOWN (▼) arrows (Figure 2) to set the desired temperature between 5 and 95 degrees Fahrenheit. The heater will automatically adjust its output to maintain the set temperature.
  4. Te Tautuhianu i te Whakawera: If the heater shuts down unexpectedly, wait two minutes before attempting to restart. Press the MODE/RESET button to restart the heater.
  5. Stopping the Heater: Press the ON/OFF button to turn off the heater. Unplug the heater when not in use or for extended periods.
