3. Tatūnga
3.1 Puna Hiko
The Casio SL-310UC-PK calculator utilizes a dual power system, combining solar power with a single product-specific battery (included). This ensures continuous operation even in low light conditions.

3.2 Whakamahi Tuatahi
- Whakahiko: Pehia te AC/ON pātene hei whakakā i te tātaitai.
- Tirohanga Whakaatu: Ensure the display shows "0" or a clear reading. If the display is dim, expose the calculator to brighter light or consider battery replacement if issues persist.
4. Nga Tohutohu Whakahaere
4.1 Tatau Taketake
Whakahaerehia ngā mahi tauākī paerewa:
- Tāpiritanga: Enter first number + second number =
- Tangohanga: Enter first number - second number =
- Whakarea: Enter first number × second number =
- Wehenga: Enter first number ÷ second number =
4.2 ōrautage Tatau

4.3 Tax Calculations
The calculator features dedicated keys for tax calculations. First, set the tax rate:
- Perehi WHAKAMAHI REITI.
- Whakauruhia te reiti taake (hei tauira, 5 for 5%).
- Perehi WHAKAMAHI REITI ano ki te whakaora.
Once the tax rate is set:
- Add Tax: Whakauruhia te moni TAX+.
- Subtract Tax: Whakauruhia te moni TAX-.
4.4 Nga Mahi Mahara
Use memory keys to store and recall values:
- M+: Ka taapiri i te uara kua whakaatuhia ki te mahara.
- M-: Ka tango i te uara kua whakaatuhia mai i te mahara.
- MR: Recalls the value stored in memory.
- MC: Clears the memory.
4.5 Square Root Calculation
To calculate the square root of a number:

4.6 Time Calculations (H/M/S)
Ko te H/M/S button allows for calculations involving hours, minutes, and seconds. This function treats numbers as sexagesimal (base 60) values for time-related arithmetic.
- Enter the hours, then press H/M/S.
- Enter the minutes, then press H/M/S.
- Enter the seconds, then press H/M/S.
- Perform desired operation (+, -, etc.) and press =.

5. Tiaki
5.1 Te horoi
- Wipe the calculator with a soft, dry cloth.
- Kaua e whakamahi i nga kai horoi, te whakarewa, te waipiro ranei, na te mea ka kino te casing me te whakaatu.
5.2 Rokiroki
- Penapenahia te tātaitai ki te wāhi hauhautanga, maroke, kia matara atu i te rā tika me ngā pāmahana tino kino.
- Avoid placing heavy objects on the calculator to prevent damage to the display or keys.
5.3 Whakakapinga Pūhiko
When the display becomes dim or calculations are erratic even in bright light, the battery may need replacement. Refer to the battery compartment on the back of the unit for specific battery type and replacement instructions. Ensure proper polarity when inserting a new battery.
