4. Tatūnga
Follow these steps for initial setup of your Atrix VACOHCS vacuum:
- Whakauruhia te Hose: Connect the clear hose to the vacuum's intake port. Ensure a secure fit to prevent loss of suction.
- Huihuia te Wad: Connect the 19" wand to the hose. Attach the desired cleaning tool (crevice tool, utility nozzle, etc.) to the end of the wand.
- Hono Hono: Plug the vacuum's pigtail cord into a suitable 3-prong extension cord. Utilize the cord relief feature on the vacuum to alleviate pressure on the pigtail cord connection.
- Wear the Backpack: Adjust the shoulder straps and waist strap for a comfortable and secure fit. The ergonomic design allows for airflow between your back and the unit.

- Hiko Whakaka/Weto: Locate the power switch on the side of the vacuum unit. Flip the switch to the 'ON' position to start the vacuum.
- Whakapai Mata: Select the appropriate attachment for your cleaning task. Use the utility nozzle for general cleaning on hard floors, carpets, and upholstery. The crevice tool is ideal for tight spaces and edges.
- Adjusting the Wand: The 19" wand is extendable. Adjust its length to comfortably reach high or low areas without straining.
- Mahi pupuhi: This vacuum can also function as a blower. Consult the full product manual for instructions on converting the unit to blower mode and using the specialized blower attachments.

6. Tiaki
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and efficiency of your Atrix VACOHCS vacuum, especially regarding its HEPA filtration system.
- Whakakapinga Cartridge: The VACOHCS uses an OF612HE-IC HEPA CERTIFIED Filter Cartridge. This is a sealed system designed for safe and simple replacement. When the filter is full, simply plug the intake and exhaust ports of the cartridge with the provided plugs, then pull the tabs to remove it. Dispose of the old filter according to local regulations for hazardous waste. Install a new filter cartridge by aligning it correctly and ensuring it clicks into place.
- No Secondary Filters: The sealed filter cartridge design eliminates the need for secondary or tertiary filters, reducing cross-contamination risks during changes.
- Whakapai Whānui: Horoia te waho o te korehau me te panuiamp cloth as needed. Ensure all ports and connections are free of debris.

If you encounter issues with your Atrix VACOHCS vacuum, consider the following common troubleshooting steps:
- Kore Mana: Check if the power cord is securely plugged into both the vacuum and a functioning electrical outlet. Ensure the extension cord is not damaged.
- Ngaronga o te Momo: Inspect the hose and attachments for blockages. Verify that the filter cartridge is correctly installed and not completely full.
- Haruru rereke: Turn off the vacuum immediately. Check for any foreign objects lodged in the hose, wand, or attachments. Ensure the filter is properly seated.
- Te wera nui: If the vacuum shuts off unexpectedly, it may be due to overheating. Unplug the unit and allow it to cool down for at least 30 minutes. Check for blockages or a full filter that might be restricting airflow.
