  3. Fill with Material: Fill the fluid cup with the desired coating material (varnish, enamel, latex, stains). Ensure the material is properly thinned according to the coating manufacturer's recommendations for HVLP application.
  4. Whakaritenga Tuatahi:
    • Taumata Wai: Use the dial on the gun to set the initial fluid level. Start with a lower setting and increase as needed.
    • Tauira Pā: Adjust the fan pattern by turning the air cap. This allows you to switch between horizontal, vertical, and round spray patterns.

Nga Tohutohu Whakahaere

  1. Rehu Whakamatau: Before applying to your workpiece, perform a test spray on a scrap piece of material to verify the spray pattern and fluid output. Adjust the fluid level and fan pattern as necessary.
  2. Pupuri Tawhiti: Hold the spray gun perpendicular to the surface, maintaining a consistent distance (typically 6-10 inches) for an even finish.
  3. Nekehanga Totonu: Use smooth, overlapping passes. Release the trigger at the end of each pass to avoid excessive material buildup.
