The Chicony KB-9810 is a wired PS/2 keyboard designed for reliable performance with your PC. It features a standard 105-key AZERTY layout, including a dedicated numeric keypad, making it suitable for various computing tasks from everyday use to business and education.

3. Tatūnga
Follow these steps to connect your Chicony KB-9810 keyboard to your computer:
- Whakawetohia tō Rorohiko: Before connecting the keyboard, ensure your computer is completely shut down to prevent any potential hardware conflicts.
- Locate the PS/2 Port: Identify the PS/2 keyboard port on the back of your computer. This port is typically purple and circular, often marked with a keyboard icon.
- Honoa te Papapātuhi: Align the PS/2 connector of the Chicony KB-9810 keyboard with the PS/2 keyboard port on your computer. Gently push the connector in until it is firmly seated. Do not force the connection.
- Power On Your Computer: Once the keyboard is securely connected, power on your computer. The operating system should automatically detect and install the necessary drivers for the keyboard.
- Taumahinga Whakamatau: After your computer has booted, open a text editor or any application that accepts text input and test the keyboard by typing. Verify that all keys, including the numeric keypad, function correctly.

- Pato: Use the alphanumeric keys for standard text input. The AZERTY layout is optimized for French language typing.
- Papapātuhi Tau: The numeric keypad on the right side can be activated or deactivated using the Nama Maukati key. When active, the indicator light above the keypad will illuminate, allowing for quick entry of numbers and mathematical operations.
- Pātuhi Taumahi (F1-F12): These keys perform various functions depending on the software or operating system in use. Refer to your software's documentation for specific uses.
- Kī Motuhake: Keys such Mana, Alt, Huri, Maukati Pūmatua, Ripa, Tomo, Mokowāmuri, a Pae mokowā function as standard.
- Rama Tohu: The keyboard features indicator lights for Nama Maukati, Maukati Pūmatua, a Panuku Maukati, indicating their active status.
