The AM2111 offers an adjustable optical magnification range from 20x-50x, and can achieve up to 200x magnification without needing to change lenses. Magnification is primarily controlled by the distance between the microscope's lens and the specimen, and fine-tuned with the focus dial.

  • Lower Magnification (Long Working Distance): When the microscope is further away from the specimen, it provides a lower magnification, a larger field of view, and a higher depth of field. This is ideal for observing larger areas or objects.
  • Higher Magnification (Short Working Distance): As you move the microscope closer to the specimen, the magnification increases, resulting in a smaller field of view and lower depth of field. This allows for detailed examination of microscopic features.
