4.2 Front Connections

  4. External Audio Sources (Optional): If using external devices, connect them to the RCA inputs on the rear panel.

  1. Insert an audio CD or MP3 CD into one of the CD slots. The unit will automatically load and read the disc.
  2. Select the CD source for the desired channel on the mixer.
  3. Use the Play/Pause button to start or stop playback.
  4. Use the Track Skip buttons to navigate between tracks.
  5. The display will show track information and elapsed/remaining time.

6.2 Whakahoki USB

The CDJ500 supports USB media playback. The image below shows a USB drive connected to one of the USB ports.

  1. Insert a USB flash drive or external hard drive (formatted to FAT32) into one of the USB ports.
  2. Select the USB source for the desired channel on the mixer.
  3. Use the navigation buttons to browse folders and select tracks.
  4. Use the Play/Pause button to start or stop playback.

  1. Activate Bluetooth mode on the CDJ500. The Bluetooth indicator will flash.
