- Hononga Hiko: Connect the supplied power cable to the AC IN socket on the rear panel and then to a suitable power outlet. Ensure the voltage selector (if present) matches your local power supply.
- Hononga Whakauru Ororongo:
- Pūorooro: Connect up to four microphones to the XLR inputs (MIC 1-4) on the front panel.
- Phono/Line Devices: Connect turntables to the PHONO inputs (CH1, CH2) and CD players, media players, or other line-level devices to the LINE inputs (CH1-CH5) on the rear panel using RCA cables. Use the PHONO/LINE switch on the front panel for channels 1 and 2 to select the input source.
- Hononga Putanga Ororongo:
- Putanga Matua: Connect your main amplifier or powered speakers to the MASTER OUTPUT (RCA or XLR) on the rear panel.
- Putanga Rohe: Use the ZONE output (RCA) for a separate monitoring area or additional speakers.

After all connections are made, switch on the mixer using the POWER button on the front panel. The unit's indicators will illuminate.

5.1 Channel Control (CH1-CH5)
Each of the five channels features dedicated controls:
- MAU: Adjusts the input sensitivity for the channel. Set it to achieve a strong signal without clipping (distortion).
- HIGH, MID, BASS: 3-band equalizer controls to adjust the treble, midrange, and bass frequencies of the channel.
- TAHI: Press this button to send the channel's audio to the headphone output for pre-listening.
- Rererangi hongere: Controls the volume level of the channel in the main mix.
- PHONO/LINE Switch (CH1, CH2): Selects between Phono (turntable) and Line (CD player, etc.) input for the respective channel.

5.2 Microphone Channels (MIC 1-4)
The mixer provides four microphone inputs with individual controls:

The media player supports playback from USB drives, SD cards, and Bluetooth devices. It also includes a recording function.

- Channel Assign Switches: Use the switches above the crossfader to assign channels to side A or side B.
- Crossfader Operation: Move the crossfader left or right to blend between the assigned channels.
5.5 Master Output
The master section controls the overall output of your mix.
