Follow these steps for optimal performance and secure installation:

  1. Wetekina, ā, Whakaritea: Carefully remove all lights and accessories from the packaging.
  2. Whakahohehia te Maama: Locate the insulator tab on the back or bottom of each light. Gently pull out this tab to activate the internal battery and enable the light for use. The light has no manual switch; activation is done by removing this tab.
  3. Kōwhiri Tauwāhi: Kōwhiria he wāhi e whiwhi ana full and direct sunlight for at least 4-5 hours daily. This is crucial for the solar panel to fully charge the battery. Avoid shaded areas or locations under eaves, trees, or other obstructions that might block sunlight.
  4. Whakapiki: The lights can be installed using the provided screws and anchors. Mark the desired mounting points, drill pilot holes if necessary, and secure the lights firmly. Ensure the solar panel faces upwards to receive maximum sunlight.

The SOLPEX Solar Deck Lights are designed for automatic operation:

  • Ka Ka/Weto Aunoa: Once activated and charged, the lights will automatically turn on at dusk and turn off at dawn.
  • Kei te utu: On sunny days, the lights require approximately 4-5 hours of direct sunlight to be fully charged.
  • Wā Whakahaere: A full charge allows the lights to operate for an extended period throughout the night. Insufficient charging due to cloudy weather or obstructions will reduce the operating time.
