4. Tatūnga

- Honoa te Pūwhakakoi Hau: Attach a suitable air hose (not included) from your air compressor to the air inlet connector on the spray gun. Ensure the compressor can provide a minimum flow rate of 85 liters per minute.
- Whakaritea Rauemi: Prepare your paint, topcoat, or sealant according to the manufacturer's instructions. Ensure it is properly thinned for spraying consistency.
- Fill Paint Pot: Unscrew the paint pot from the spray gun body. Fill the pot with your prepared material, ensuring not to overfill. Reattach the paint pot securely to the spray gun.
- Whakaritenga Tuatahi: Before spraying, make initial adjustments to the fluid and fan pattern dials. Start with a moderate setting.
5. Nga Tohutohu Whakahaere
- Power On Compressor: Turn on your air compressor and allow it to build up sufficient pressure.
- Test Spray Pattern: Before spraying your actual workpiece, test the spray pattern on a piece of scrap material. Adjust the fluid adjustment dial to control the amount of material sprayed and the fan adjustment dials to change the spray pattern (e.g., from a round to a flat pattern).
- Tikanga Rehu: Hold the spray gun perpendicular to the surface, maintaining a consistent distance (typically 6-10 inches). Use smooth, even strokes, overlapping each pass by about 50%. Release the trigger at the end of each stroke.
- Whakakī anō: If the paint pot runs low, turn off the air supply, unscrew the pot, refill, and reattach before resuming.
6. Tiaki
