It is crucial to ensure compatibility before installation to guarantee optimal performance.

The WOLFBOX 50-foot extension cable is a dedicated accessory for specific WOLFBOX Mirror Dash Cams. It is engineered to provide the necessary length for installations in larger vehicles where the standard cable may be insufficient. Key features include:

• Hototahi: Specifically designed for WOLFBOX G840S and T10 Mirror Dash Cams. Not compatible with G840H or other brands/models.
• Tūhono: Features a 4-pin connector for the rear camera and a 2.5mm auxiliary (AV IN) jack for the main dash cam unit.
• Mauroa: Constructed with quality materials for reliable signal transmission and longevity.

Proper installation is key to the functionality of your extension cable. Follow these steps carefully:

1. Manatoko Hototahi: Before beginning, ensure your WOLFBOX dash cam is a G840S or T10 model. The cable is not compatible with G840H models due to different connector types.

2. Momotu Mana: Always disconnect power from your dash cam system before connecting or disconnecting any cables.
3. Connect to Rear Camera: Connect the 4-pin end of the extension cable to your WOLFBOX rear camera. Ensure a secure and snug fit.
4. Ararere te taura: Carefully route the 50-foot extension cable from the rear camera to the location of your main dash cam unit. Plan the routing to avoid kinks, sharp bends, and areas where the cable could be pinched or exposed to excessive heat/cold. Utilize existing vehicle trim or cable clips for a neat and secure installation.

5. Hono atu ki te Wāhanga Matua: Connect the 2.5mm auxiliary jack end of the extension cable to the AV IN port on your main WOLFBOX dash cam unit.
6. Connect Red Wire (Optional): The red wire extending from the cable is typically for connecting to the positive pole of your vehicle's reverse light. This enables the dash cam to automatically display the rear view with parking guidelines when the vehicle is in reverse. If this feature is desired, connect the red wire accordingly. If not, ensure the red wire is safely insulated and secured.

7. Taumahinga Whakamatau: Once all connections are made, reconnect power to your dash cam system and test the rear camera functionality to ensure the extension cable is working correctly.

It simply extends the signal path from your rear camera to the main dash cam unit, allowing for flexible placement of the rear camera in larger vehicles. The functionality of your rear camera (e.g., recording, parking assist lines) will operate as per your dash cam's original specifications.

  • Hononga Haumaru: Ensure both the 4-pin connector to the rear camera and the 2.5mm jack to the main unit are fully inserted and secure. A loose connection is a common cause of signal loss.
  • Tirohia te taura mo te kino: Visually inspect the entire length of the extension cable for any cuts, pinches, or severe bends that could indicate internal damage.
  • Test Without Extension: If possible, test the rear camera by connecting it directly to the main dash cam unit using its original shorter cable (if available). This helps determine if the issue lies with the extension cable or the camera/main unit itself.
• Intermittent Signal/Flickering:
  • This often indicates a loose connection or minor damage to the cable. Re-seat all connections and inspect the cable carefully.
