3.2 Te Tauwhi Maunga

3.3 Hononga Hiko

The Vaillant VED E 18/8 requires a 400 V/50 Hz power supply. For the 18 kW model, a 5-wire connection cable with a cross-section of 6 mm² and a minimum three-phase protection of 32 amperes is required.

3.4 Hononga Wai

Connect the cold water supply to the designated cold water inlet (R 1/2") and the hot water outlet to the hot water pipe (R 1/2"). Ensure all connections are sealed properly using the provided gaskets. The unit is compatible with all standard pressure-resistant water taps (two-handle mixer and single-lever mixer).

3.5 Te Komihana

Before the first use, the appliance must be thoroughly vented. Open the tap and let water flow until no more air escapes. Only then should the electrical connection be made. This prevents damage to the heating elements.
