The Optoma HD28HDR supports standard throw projection, allowing flexibility in placement. For a 100-inch image, position the projector approximately 11 feet away from the screen. For a 120-inch image, a distance of about 13 feet is recommended. The projector can project an image up to 302 inches. It is suitable for both ceiling mounting and placement on a shelf or table.

Connect your devices to the projector using the available ports:

  • Atanga 2.0: For 4K UHD and HDR video sources, ensuring optimal image detail and color clarity.
  • HDMI 1.4 A: For standard high-definition content.
  • USB Power Out (5V=1.5A): Ideal for powering streaming dongles like Amazon Fire TV, Google Chromecast, or Apple TV.

4.3 Hiko / Whakaweto

The projector can be controlled via the top panel buttons or the included remote control. HDMI-CEC technology allows for control of the projector and connected devices using a single remote through the HDMI connection.

The 6-segment color wheel (RYGCWB) produces accurate color with sRGB & REC.709 color profiles. HDR10 technology enhances the viewing experience with brighter whites and deeper black levels.

The HD28HDR displays true 3D content from almost any 3D source, including 3D Blu-ray Disc players, 3D broadcasting, and the latest-generation game consoles. Support for a 120Hz rapid-refresh rate provides ultra-smooth, flicker-free images. (3D glasses are required and sold separately).
