The SPYPOINT Cell-Link is a universal cellular adapter designed to transform most non-cellular trail cameras into cellular game cameras. This innovative device allows you to receive photos from your trail camera directly to your mobile phone via the SPYPOINT app, eliminating the need for frequent trips to retrieve SD cards. 2.1 Nga Waahi i mua i te whakaurunga
- Tikiake i te taupānga SPYPOINT: Before heading into the field, download the official SPYPOINT app from your device's app store (Google Play Store or Apple App Store). This ensures you have the necessary software for activation and monitoring.
- Configure Host Trail Camera: Ensure your existing trail camera is fully functional and configured to your desired settings (e.g., photo capture speed, delay, sensitivity levels). Install fresh batteries in your host trail camera.
2.2 Cell-Link Component Overview
The Cell-Link device features an antenna port, a 12V DC plug for external power sources like solar panels, a battery compartment for 8 AA batteries, and a micro SD card slot. It is crucial to use a Class 10 micro SD card (up to 32GB recommended) for optimal performance and to prevent transmission errors.
2.3 Te Tikanga Whakauru
- Kōkuhu Pūhiko: Open the Cell-Link's battery compartment and insert 8 fresh AA batteries.
- Kōkuhu Kāri SD Micro: Insert a Class 10 micro SD card (up to 32GB) into the designated slot within the Cell-Link.
- Āpiti Antenna: Screw the included antenna into the port on the side of the Cell-Link. Continue screwing until you feel resistance against the rubber gasket, ensuring a waterproof seal and optimal signal reception.
- Mount Cell-Link: Securely mount the Cell-Link to a tree using the provided strap or a compatible cable lock. Position it above your host trail camera for best results.
- Connect to Host Camera: Insert the provided SD card adapter cable into your host trail camera's standard SD card slot. Connect the other end of the cable to the Cell-Link's designated port. Ensure the cable is routed to avoid interfering with the host camera's sensors or lens.
- Activate via App: Power on the Cell-Link. Open the SPYPOINT app on your smartphone and select the option to activate a new camera. Scan the QR code located on the Cell-Link device.
- Tirohia te Kaha Waitohu: The Cell-Link features five indicator lights for signal strength. Aim for at least three bars for reliable photo transmission.
- Verify Transmission: Wave your hand in front of the host camera to trigger a photo. Check your SPYPOINT app to confirm successful photo transmission before leaving the field.

3.1 SPYPOINT App Features
The SPYPOINT app provides a comprehensive mobile scouting solution. You can view transmitted photos, analyze data, and establish patterns for successful hunting. The app allows you to:
- View and manage photos from your Cell-Link.
- Filter photos by categories such as people, pets, or bucks.
- Adjust camera settings remotely (if supported by your host camera and Cell-Link integration).

3.2 Photo Transmission Plans
SPYPOINT offers various photo transmission plans to suit your needs, ranging from free to unlimited options:
- Free Plan: Includes 100 photos per month.
- Basic Plan: Offers 250 photos per month for $5.
- Standard Plan: Provides 1,000 photos per month for $10.
- Premium Plan: Truly unlimited photos for $15 per month (or $10/month if paid annually).
You can choose the carrier model (Verizon or AT&T) that provides the best service in your hunting location, regardless of your personal cellular provider.

- Regularly check battery levels in the Cell-Link and host camera.
- Ensure the micro SD card in the Cell-Link is properly seated to avoid transmission errors.
- Keep the host camera's lens and sensors clean for clear images.
- Verify the antenna is securely tightened to maintain waterproofing and signal strength.

- Te Kaha Waitohu Kino: Adjust the antenna's direction or relocate the Cell-Link to an area with better cellular coverage. Ensure the antenna is screwed in tightly.
- False Triggers/Excessive Photos: If your host camera is taking too many unwanted photos (e.g., from wind blowing grass), consider mounting the camera higher to reduce false triggers. Adjust sensitivity settings on your host camera.
- SD Card Issues: Ensure the micro SD card is a Class 10 and is fully seated in the Cell-Link. If using the SD card adapter, ensure it is securely connected to both the host camera and Cell-Link.
- Kounga Atahanga: Transmitted photos to the app are often compressed. The original, higher-quality images are stored on the micro SD card in the Cell-Link.
