3. Tatūnga & Tāuta

Before beginning, ensure you have all necessary tools and components. It is recommended to take a photo of your existing wiring for reference if replacing an old controller.

3.1 Whakapiki i te Kaiwhakahaere

Use the provided mounting template to mark the drill holes on your wall. Ensure the lower holes are level with the ground. Drill at the marked spots and insert the anchors before securing the controller with screws.

3.2 Te Whakawaea i te Kaiwhakahaere

The B-hyve XR features easy push-fit terminals for wiring. Use the provided label stickers to identify and organize your wires. Connect the common wire to the 'C' terminal and individual zone wires to terminals 1-8. If using a master valve or pump, connect it to the 'M' terminal. Ensure all connections are secure.

3.3 Tikiake Taupānga me te Tatūnga Tuatahi

Download the B-hyve app from your smartphone's app store. Follow the in-app instructions to create an account and pair your controller. The app will guide you through connecting to your home Wi-Fi (supports 2.4GHz Wi-Fi) and setting up your zones.

4.1 Mana a-ringa

The B-hyve app provides comprehensive control over your sprinkler system from anywhere. You can:

• Tautuhi Hōtaka: Create and modify watering schedules for individual zones or groups of zones.
• Whakamakuku Ataata: Enable weather-based adjustments (WeatherSense Technology) to automatically pause watering during rain, snow, or freezing conditions, conserving water.
• Whakamakuku ā-ā-ringa: Manually run specific zones for a set duration directly from your smartphone.
• Whakaroa te ua: Manually set or clear rain delays as needed.
• Mahinga Aroturuki: Track water usage and view upcoming watering events.

To ensure optimal performance and longevity of your Orbit B-hyve XR controller, follow these maintenance guidelines:

• Keep Cover Closed: Always ensure the protective cover is securely closed to prevent weather damage and tamppaenga.
• Tirotiro Waea: Periodically check all wiring connections for any signs of wear, corrosion, or looseness. Secure any loose connections.
• Whakaaturanga Ma: Gently wipe the active matrix display and LED light with a soft, damp cloth to keep it clear and readable. Avoid abrasive cleaners.
• Whakahōu Pūmanawa: Ensure your B-hyve app and controller firmware are up to date for the latest features and security enhancements. Updates are typically managed through the app.

If you encounter issues with your B-hyve XR controller, refer to the following common troubleshooting steps:
