Before first use, fully charge your Hyperboom speaker. Connect the included power adapter to the speaker's power port and then to a wall outlet. The battery indicator will show charging status.

The speaker has a rechargeable lithium-ion battery providing up to 24 hours of battery life.

  • To power on, press the Power On/Off button located on the top of the speaker.
  • To power off, press and hold the Power On/Off button until the speaker shuts down.

The Hyperboom speaker can remember up to 8 paired Bluetooth devices and connect to two simultaneously.

  1. Power on your Hyperboom speaker.

  3. On your device (smartphone, tablet, laptop), go to Bluetooth settings and select "Hyperboom" from the list of available devices.
  4. Once paired, the speaker will confirm with an audible cue, and the LED will glow solid.

To switch between connected devices, simply play audio from the desired device. The speaker will automatically switch.

5.4. Āhuatanga PartyUp

Connect your Hyperboom with other BOOM, MEGABOOM, or HYPERBOOM speakers for an expanded audio experience. Use the BOOM App to activate and manage the PartyUp feature.

5.5. Auxiliary and Optical Input

For wired connections, open the weather door on the side of the speaker to access the Aux In (3.5mm) and Optical input ports.

  • Connect your audio device using a 3.5mm auxiliary cable to the Auauru In tauranga.
  • Connect your audio device using an optical cable to the Whakauru Matapihi tauranga.

The Hyperboom speaker has an IPX4 water resistance rating, meaning it is protected against splashing water from any direction. This makes it suitable for outdoor use and accidental spills.

After exposure to liquids, ensure the weather door covering the ports is securely closed. Wipe the speaker dry with a clean cloth before charging or using wired connections.
