3. Tatūnga Tuatahi

The Toniebox requires a one-time initial setup process using the mytonies app and a Wi-Fi connection. This process links your Toniebox to your account and allows it to download content for new Tonies characters.

  1. Charge the Toniebox: Place the Toniebox on its charging station. Ensure the charging station is plugged into a power source. The LED on the Toniebox will indicate charging status.
  2. Download the mytonies App: Install the official mytonies app on your smartphone or tablet.

4. Operating the Toniebox

The Toniebox is designed for intuitive use by children. Here's how to control playback:

  • Tīmata Whakahoki: Place any Tonie audio character on top of the Toniebox. Playback begins automatically.
  • Kati te Purei: Simply remove the Tonie character from the Toniebox to pause or stop the audio.
  • Whakaritea Rōrahi: Press the larger ear (right) to increase the volume, and the smaller ear (left) to decrease the volume.
  • Change Tracks: Tap the side of the Toniebox to skip forward or backward through tracks. Tapping the right side skips to the next track, and tapping the left side skips to the previous track.
  • Tere Whakamua/Whakahoki: Tilt the Toniebox to the right to fast forward, and to the left to rewind.
  • Tihakihihi A headphone jack is located on the side for private listening.
