2. Nga Tohutohu Haumaru
Always prioritize safety when operating the generator. Failure to follow these instructions can result in serious injury or death.
- Moorearea Waro Monoxide: Generators produce carbon monoxide, an odorless, colorless, and poisonous gas. Operate the generator outdoors in a well-ventilated area, far away from windows, doors, and vents. Never operate it indoors, in a garage, or in any enclosed space.
- Pūmate Ahi: Gasoline is highly flammable. Refuel in a well-ventilated area with the engine off and cool. Do not smoke or allow open flames near the generator or fuel. Store gasoline in an approved container in a safe location.
- Pūmate Rua Hiko: Do not operate the generator in wet conditions. Ensure all electrical connections are dry and secure. Never touch the generator with wet hands.
- Mata wera: Ka wera rawa te miihini me te muffler o te kaihanga i te wa e mahi ana, ka noho wera mo etahi wa i muri i te katinga. A ape i te pa ki nga waahi wera kia kore e wera.
- Nga tamariki me nga kararehe: Kia matara atu nga tamariki me nga mokai mai i te hiko i nga wa katoa.
- Whakapapa: Always properly ground the generator before operation to prevent electrical shock.

4. Tatūnga
Before first use, or after extended storage, perform the following setup steps.
4.1 Te taapiri hinu miihini
The generator is shipped without engine oil. It is crucial to add the correct type and amount of oil before starting the engine.
- Whakanohoia te kaiwhakanao ki te papa papatairite.
- Locate the oil fill cap/dipstick (refer to your specific model diagram if available).
- Tangohia te potae whakakii hinu.
- Carefully pour the recommended engine oil (see Figure 4.1 for oil type recommendations based on temperature) into the oil fill opening until it reaches the upper limit mark on the dipstick. The oil capacity is 0.25 liters.
- Whakahokia anō te taupoki whakakī hinu/rākau whakatō kia mau.

Figure 4.1: Engine Oil Recommendations
This chart provides engine oil recommendations based on ambient temperature. For gasoline engines, suitable oil types include 10W30, 10W40, 15W40, SAE 30, and SAE 40, with specific temperature ranges for each. Always use a high-quality 4-stroke engine oil.
4.2 Te taapiri wahie
Use fresh, unleaded gasoline with an octane rating of 87 or higher. The fuel tank capacity is 2.1 liters.
- Ensure the generator is turned OFF and the engine is cool.
- Slowly add gasoline to the fuel tank, being careful not to overfill. Do not fill above the red indicator line inside the tank.
- Whakahokia te taupoki o te tāke wahie kia mau. Horoia tonutia te wahie i maringi.
4.3 Te Whakatūnga Whenua o te Pūkaha
He mea nui te papa whenua mo te haumaru.
- Connect a heavy-gauge copper wire (not included) to the generator's ground terminal.
- Connect the other end of the wire to a suitable ground source, such as a metal ground rod driven into the earth.
5. Nga Tohutohu Whakahaere
Follow these steps to start and operate your generator safely.
- Tirohia nga taumata hinu me te hinu.
- Firmly grasp the recoil starter handle and pull it slowly until resistance is felt, then pull quickly and smoothly to start the engine. Repeat if necessary.
- Once the engine starts, slowly move the choke lever back to the "RUN" position.
5.2 Te hono i nga taputapu hiko
Once the engine is running, you can connect your devices.
- Ensure the generator's output switch (if present) is in the "ON" position.
- Plug your devices into the appropriate outlets (230V AC, 12V DC, or USB).
- Do not exceed the generator's rated power output (800W peak, 700W continuous). Overloading will trigger the overload protection and shut down power output. If this happens, reduce the load and press the OUTPUT RESET button.
5.3 Using ECO Mode
The ECO mode reduces engine speed when the electrical load is low, saving fuel and reducing noise.
- To activate ECO mode, switch the ECO switch to "ON". The engine speed will adjust automatically based on the load.
- For maximum power or when starting high-load devices, switch ECO mode to "OFF".
5.4 Whakamutua te Mihini
- Momotuhia nga taputapu hiko katoa mai i te kaihanga.
- Hurihia te whakawhiti miihini ki te "OFF".
6. Tiaki
Mā te tiaki auau ka tino pai te mahi, ā, ka roa ake te ora o tō mīhini whakaputa hiko. Whakawetohia te mīhini, ā, tukua kia whakamatao i mua i te mahi i tētahi tiaki.
6.1 Huri Hinu Mihini
Change the engine oil after the first 20 hours of operation, and then every 50-100 hours or annually, whichever comes first.
- Run the engine for a few minutes to warm the oil, then turn it off.
- Whakanohoia he paraharaha ki raro i te parai hinu.
- Remove the oil drain plug and the oil fill cap/dipstick to allow the oil to drain completely.
- Replace the oil drain plug and refill with the recommended amount and type of new oil (0.25 liters).
- Replace the oil fill cap/dipstick. Dispose of used oil responsibly.
6.2 Te Whakapai i te Matarere
Inspect the air filter every 25 hours or monthly, and clean or replace as needed.
- Lightly apply engine oil to the filter element and squeeze out any excess.
- Tāuta anōtia te huānga tātari me te taupoki.
6.3 Tirohanga Paraka
Tirohia te mono mura i ia 100 hāora, i ia tau rānei.
- Tangohia te potae korakora.
- Whakamahia he korakora moko hei tango i te paraka.
- Check for carbon deposits, discoloration, or electrode wear. Clean or replace if necessary.
- Set the spark plug gap according to the specifications in your manual (typically 0.6-0.7 mm).
- Tāutahia anō te paraka me te pōtae.
6.4 Rokiroki
For long-term storage (more than 30 days), prepare the generator as follows:
- Ringihia te wai o te tāke wahie me te carburetor, tāpirihia rānei he mea whakau wahie.
- Hurihia te hinu miihini.
- Tangohia te paraka ka ringihia he hinu iti ki roto i te rango. Toia te whakaoho whakamuri mo etahi wa hei tohatoha i te hinu, katahi ka whakauru ano i te moko korakora.
- Horoia te taha o waho o te kaihanga.
- Penapena ki tētahi wāhi ma, maroke, e pai ana te hauhautanga.
