Proper installation of all components is crucial for accurate readings. A total of 10 AA batteries are required for the system.

4.1 Tāuta Pūhiko

Install batteries in all units before mounting them. Ensure correct polarity. The main display unit, wind gauge, rain gauge, and outdoor sensor each require batteries.

4.2 Main Display Unit Placement

Place the main display unit indoors in a central location, away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Ensure it is within the 100m wireless range of the outdoor sensors.

4.3 Outdoor Thermo-Hygro Sensor Installation

Mount the thermo-hygro sensor in a shaded, well-ventilated area outdoors, protected from direct rain and sunlight, to ensure accurate temperature and humidity readings. It can also be used in remote rooms like a basement or garage for climate monitoring. The wireless range is up to 100 meters. Up to 3 additional transmitters (model 30.3249.02) can be connected.

4.4 Wind Gauge Installation

Install the wind gauge in an open area, free from obstructions like buildings or trees, to ensure accurate wind speed and direction measurements. The unit is solar-assisted. Use the provided versatile fixings for mounting on a post, pole, or wall.

4.5 Rain Gauge Installation

Position the rain gauge on a level surface in an open area, away from overhead obstructions that could block rainfall. Ensure it is easily accessible for occasional cleaning.

The weather forecast is indicated by symbols (sunny, partly cloudy, overcast, rainy, stormy) and is based on air pressure changes. It provides a forecast for the next 12-24 hours. The display also shows the air pressure tendency and history.

5.3 Raraunga Hau

The wind section graphically displays the wind direction and the prevailing wind direction (cardinal points or degrees). It shows current, average, and highest wind speeds. Historical maximum speeds for the last 24 hours, 7 days, current month, and year are also available, along with the time and date of their occurrence.

5.4 Rain Data

The rain gauge provides data on rainfall amounts for the last hour, the last 24 hours, the last 7 days, the current month, the current year, and the total accumulated rainfall. A monthly history function is included, and the current rain quantity is displayed graphically.

Monitor indoor and outdoor temperature and humidity with trend arrows. The device records maximum and minimum values with the corresponding time and date of storage.
