1. Kupu Whakataki
The UNI-T UT383BT is a professional digital illuminance meter designed for effective measurement of light intensity. 2. Tatūnga
2.1 Tāuta Pūhiko
The UT383BT requires 3x 1.5V AAA batteries for operation. To install or replace batteries, locate the battery compartment cover on the back of the device. Use a small screwdriver to open the cover, insert the batteries according to the polarity markings, and then securely close the cover.

2.2 App Installation (iENV App)
For enhanced functionality, download and install the iENV App on your iOS or Android smartphone. The app allows for data recording, export, storage, and analysis via Bluetooth. Ensure your device meets the compatibility requirements: iOS 8.4 or higher (iPhone 5S or above), Android 4.3 or higher, and Bluetooth 4.0 or higher with at least 1GB memory.

To connect the meter to the app:
- Install the iENV App from your device's app store or uni-trend.com.
- Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on both your smartphone and the UT383BT meter.
- Open the iENV App, search for the UT383BT device, and select it to establish a connection.

3. Nga Tohutohu Whakahaere
3.1 Hiko / Whakaweto
Press and hold the power button (usually marked with a circle and a vertical line) to turn the device on or off. The large LCD screen will display readings once powered on.
3.2 Measurement Units (Lux/FC)
The UT383BT can measure illuminance in Lux or Foot Candles (FC). Use the dedicated 'LUX/FC' button to switch between these units as needed.
3.3 Max/Min/Data Hold
- MAX / MIN: Press the 'MAX/MIN' button to view the maximum or minimum recorded light intensity during a measurement session.
- Pupuri Raraunga: Press the 'HOLD/BL' button briefly to freeze the current reading on the display. Press it again to release the hold function and resume live measurements.
3.4 LCD Whakamuri
To activate the LCD backlight for better visibility in low-light conditions, press and hold the 'HOLD/BL' button. Repeat the action to turn off the backlight.
3.5 Hononga Nihokikorangi
Once the iENV App is installed and connected (as described in Section 2.2), measurement data will be transferred via Bluetooth to your smartphone. This allows for real-time monitoring, data logging, and analysis directly from your mobile device.

7. Tiaki
