4. Tatūnga

- Hononga Hiko: Plug the power cord into the rice cooker's power inlet, then into a suitable electrical outlet.
5. Nga Tohutohu Whakahaere
5.1 Mahi Taketake
- Add desired ingredients (e.g., rice and water) to the ceramic inner pot. Refer to the markings inside the pot for water levels.
- Place the inner pot into the main unit and close the lid securely.
- Press the power button (red button) to turn on the rice cooker. The display will illuminate.
- Select your desired cooking function by pressing the corresponding button (e.g., 'Rice', 'Porridge').
- Press the 'Start' button to begin cooking. The indicator light for the selected function will illuminate, and the display will show the remaining cooking time or a countdown.

- To cancel a function or turn off the appliance, press the 'Keep Warm/Cancel' button.
5.2 Nga Mahi Tunu

- Hupa: Suitable for cooking soups and stews.

5.3 Timer/Delay Start Function
The timer function allows you to set a delayed start for cooking.
- After adding ingredients and selecting a cooking function, press the 'Timer' button.
- Use the 'Hours' and 'Mins' buttons to adjust the desired delay time.
- Press 'Start' to confirm the timer setting. The rice cooker will begin cooking after the set delay time has elapsed.
5.4 Pupuri Mahi Mahana
After cooking, the appliance automatically enters 'Keep Warm' mode to maintain the food's temperature. To manually activate or deactivate 'Keep Warm', press the 'Keep Warm/Cancel' button when no other cooking function is active.

- Detachable Inner Cap/Steam Hood: Remove the detachable inner cap and steam hood from the lid. Wash them with warm soapy water, rinse, and dry before reattaching.
