5.1 Adjusting Closing Speed
Locate the speed adjustment screw on the closer unit. Turning the screw clockwise will decrease the closing speed, making the gate close slower. Turning it counter-clockwise will increase the closing speed, making the gate close faster. Make small adjustments and test the gate's movement after each adjustment.
5.2 Adjusting Final Snap
The final snap adjustment controls the force with which the gate latches shut in the last few degrees of closing. Locate the final snap adjustment screw. Turning it clockwise will increase the snap force, while turning it counter-clockwise will decrease it. Adjust as needed to ensure the gate securely latches without excessive force.
