  2. Turn on the Magic Mouse using the switch on its underside.

The Magic Mouse features a Multi-Touch surface that allows for various gestures to navigate and interact with your device.

4.1 Basic Clicks

  • Pāwhiri-mauī: Press the left side of the mouse surface.
  • Pāwhiri-matau: Press the right side of the mouse surface. (Ensure secondary click is enabled in System Settings > Mouse).

  • Panuku: Slide one finger up or down on the surface to scroll vertically. Slide one finger left or right to scroll horizontally.
  • Swiping Between Pages: Swipe one finger left or right to navigate between web pages in a browser or documents.

  • Mana Mihana: Double-tap with two fingers to open Mission Control.

Note: Gesture functionality can be customized in your Mac's System Settings > Mouse.

  1. Locate the Lightning port on the underside of the Magic Mouse.
  2. Connect the included USB-C to Lightning Cable to the mouse's Lightning port.
  3. Connect the USB-C end of the cable to a USB-C port on your Mac or a compatible USB power adapter.
  4. The mouse cannot be used while it is charging due to the location of the charging port.
