The DIGITUS DS-55318 set consists of two main units: a Transmitter (TX) and a Receiver (RX). Both units feature an integrated HDMI plug for direct connection and a Micro-USB port for power.

5. Tohutohu Tatūnga

The DIGITUS DS-55318 is designed for simple plug-and-play operation. Follow these steps for a point-to-point connection:

5.1. Connecting the Transmitter (TX)

  1. Connect the HDMI plug of the Transmitter (TX) unit to the HDMI output port of your source device (e.g., laptop, PC, media player). If space is limited, use the provided HDMI extension cable.
  2. Connect one of the Micro-USB power cables to the Micro-USB port on the Transmitter. Connect the other end of the USB cable to a USB port on your source device or a USB power adapter (5V/0.5A, not included). The source device's HDMI connection must provide at least 500 mA for power.

5.2. Connecting the Receiver (RX)

  1. Connect the HDMI plug of the Receiver (RX) unit to an available HDMI input port on your display device (e.g., TV, monitor, projector). If needed, use the provided HDMI extension cable.
  2. Connect the second Micro-USB power cable to the Micro-USB port on the Receiver. Connect the other end of the USB cable to a USB port on your display device or a USB power adapter (5V/0.5A, not included). The display device's HDMI connection must provide at least 500 mA for power.

5.3. Establishing Connection (Pairing)

The transmitter and receiver units are typically pre-paired from the factory. If they do not connect automatically, follow these steps:

  1. Ensure both the Transmitter and Receiver units are powered on and connected to their respective devices.
  2. Press the "Connection button" on the Transmitter unit.
  3. Within a few seconds, press the "Connection button" on the Receiver unit.
  4. The units should establish a connection, and the video signal from the source device will appear on the display.

  • Haumarutanga: Features AES 128-bit encryption and WPA2 protocol for secure transmission.

7. Tiaki

To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your DIGITUS DS-55318:

  • Keep the units clean by wiping them with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners.
