2. Hua Neke Atuview

The SMONET Smart Deadbolt provides an 8-in-1 keyless entry solution, integrating various access methods for enhanced security and convenience. Key features include:

• Tikanga Uru Maha: Unlock using Passcode, Smartphone App (Bluetooth), Fingerprint, IC Fob, or traditional Physical Key.
• Whakauru Whare Ataata: Compatible with Alexa & Google Home (requires a separate gateway).
• Raukaha Kaiwhakamahi: Supports up to 300 customized passcodes and 1000 IC fobs (two included).
• Ahurangi Taputapu: Fast and accurate fingerprint recognition in approximately 0.5 seconds.
• Maukati Aunoa: Features an automatic locking function for added security.

4.1. Nga Tirohanga i mua i te whakaurunga

Before beginning installation, ensure your door meets the following specifications. The door handle is not included with the smart deadbolt.

• Matotoru o te tatau: Typically 1-1/2" to 1-9/10" (38mm-48mm).
• Dianenga Puka: 2-1/8" (54mm).
• He Tautuhi: 2-3/8" or 2-3/4" (60mm-70mm).

• Ensure your door has a latch hole and is not chiseled for a mortise/integrated lock.

Installation typically requires only a Phillips screwdriver and can be completed within 20 minutes. Refer to the detailed installation guide provided in the product packaging for specific steps and diagrams. Ensure correct installation for left-handed and right-handed doors as methods may differ.

5. Tatūnga

5.1. Taupānga Tikiake me te Tauhoa

1. Download the designated smartphone application from your device's app store.
2. Waihangahia he kaute ka takiuru.
3. Follow the in-app instructions to pair your smart deadbolt via Bluetooth.

5.2. Te Tāpiri i ngā Tapumati

The lock can store multiple fingerprints for quick access. For optimal accuracy, register your fingerprint multiple times, ensuring all edges of your finger are scanned.

1. Access the fingerprint management section within the smartphone app or directly on the lock's keypad (refer to the full manual for keypad-specific instructions).
2. Place your finger on the fingerprint sensor, lifting and repositioning it as prompted until registration is complete.

5.3. Te whakatakoto i ngā kupuhipa

You can create up to 300 unique passcodes for family members or guests. Temporary passcodes can also be generated for limited access.

1. Navigate to the passcode management section in the smartphone app.
2. Follow the prompts to create new passcodes, specifying their validity period if desired.

5.4. Adding IC Fobs

The lock supports up to 1000 IC fobs. Two fobs are typically included with your purchase.

1. In the app, select the option to add new IC fobs.
2. Present the fob to the designated area on the lock as instructed by the app.

5.5. Voice Control Setup (Optional)

To enable voice control with Amazon Alexa or Google Home, a separate Wi-Fi gateway hub is required. This hub bridges the smart lock to your home network.

1. Install and set up the Wi-Fi gateway hub according to its instructions.
2. Link the SMONET smart lock to the gateway via the smartphone app.
3. Enable the SMONET skill/action in your Alexa or Google Home app and follow the pairing process.

6.1. Te Wewete i te Kuaha

• Kauira: Place your registered finger on the sensor. The lock will unlock in approximately 0.5 seconds.
• Waeherehipa: Enter your valid passcode on the keypad, then press the '#' key.
• Taupānga Waea atamai: Open the app, ensure Bluetooth is enabled, and tap the unlock icon.
• IC Fob: Present the registered IC fob to the designated area on the lock.
• Kī Tinana: Kōkuhuhia te kī tinana ki roto i te kohao ka huri ki te iriti.
• Tonoa Reo (me te Gateway): Use voice commands like "Alexa, unlock the front door" after setting up voice control.

6.2. Te Maukati i te Kūaha

• Maukati Aunoa: The lock will automatically engage after a set period (configurable in the app) once the door is closed.
• Maukati-Kotahi: Press the '#' key on the keypad to manually lock the door.
• Taupānga Waea atamai: Open the app and tap the lock icon.
• Tonoa Reo (me te Gateway): Use voice commands like "Alexa, lock the front door" after setting up voice control.

7. Tiaki

• Whakakapinga Pūhiko: Replace all four AA batteries when the low battery indicator appears or when the lock's performance diminishes. Do not mix old and new batteries.
• Te horoi: Wipe the keypad and fingerprint sensor with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents that could damage the finish or electronic components.
• Tiaki Taiao: If the lock is exposed to direct rainfall, consider installing a smart lock cover to prevent potential water damage.

8. Te Raru

• Maukati Kaore i te Whakautu: Check battery levels. If batteries are low, replace them. Ensure the lock is properly installed and all connections are secure.
• Incorrect Password Lockout: If an incorrect password is entered 5 times consecutively, the lock will automatically disable for 5 minutes. Wait for the lockout period to expire before attempting again.
• Maama Maihao Kaore i te Mohiotia: Ensure your finger is clean and dry. Try re-registering your fingerprint, covering all edges during the process.
• Nga Take Hononga Taupānga: Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your smartphone and you are within range of the lock. Restart the app or your phone if necessary.
• Physical Key Not Working: Ensure the key is fully inserted and turned correctly. If the lock is jammed, do not force the key.
