4. Tatūnga me te Hononga
4.1 Te Whakautu i te Papa Kēmu
Before first use, fully charge the gamepad using the provided USB-C cable. Connect the USB-C end to the gamepad and the USB-A end to a power source (e.g., computer USB port, USB wall adapter). The LED indicators will show charging status.

- Tīpako Aratau: Use the mode switch (S/D) at the top of the controller to select the appropriate mode for your device. 'S' for Nintendo Switch, 'D' for D-input (Android, PC, etc.).
- Whakauruhia te Aratau takirua: Press and hold the Pair button (usually a small button on the top edge or back) for 3 seconds until the LED indicators start blinking rapidly.

4.4 Hononga Waea
The gamepad can also be used via a wired USB-C connection. Simply connect the gamepad to your device using the USB-C cable. This mode is often plug-and-play, depending on the operating system.

The 8BitDo Lite SE functions as a standard gamepad. Use the directional buttons or left joystick for movement, and the action buttons (A, B, X, Y) for in-game commands. The shoulder buttons (L, R, L2, R2) and L3/R3 buttons are positioned for easy access.
