4. Aratohu Tatūnga

4.1. Tāutanga Tinana

  1. Kōwhiria he Tauwāhi: Select a suitable location near your front door, ensuring a clear view and access to power. The doorbell is rated IP66 waterproof, suitable for outdoor use.
  2. Mount the Doorbell: Use the provided installation bracket as a template to mark drill holes. Drill the holes, insert wall plugs, and secure the bracket with screws. Attach the doorbell to the bracket.
  3. Hono Hono: Connect the doorbell to a suitable power source using the provided cable.

4.2. Chime Placement

Plug the wireless chime into a standard electrical outlet inside your home, within range of the doorbell. The chime will automatically pair with the doorbell.

4.3. Taupānga Tāutanga me te Paihere

  1. Tikiake i te Taupānga: Rapua "Calex Smart" in your smartphone's app store (iOS or Android) and download the application.

  3. Tāpiri Pūrere: Tap the "+" icon or "Add Device" button in the app. Select "Video Doorbell" from the list of devices.

5. Operating Your Video Doorbell

Once connected, you can access a live video feed from your doorbell via the Calex Smart app. When a visitor presses the doorbell or motion is detected, you will receive a notification on your smartphone. Tap the notification to view the live feed and use the two-way audio feature to speak with your visitor.

5.2. Te Motini

The doorbell features PIR motion detection. You can customize the motion detection sensitivity and set specific activity zones within the app to reduce false alerts. When motion is detected, you will receive an instant notification.

The integrated night vision functionality ensures clear video footage even in low-light conditions or complete darkness, with a range of up to 10 meters.

Your video recordings can be stored in two ways:

  • Rokiroki Kapua: Subscribe to a cloud storage plan (if available) through the Calex Smart app for secure, remote access to your video history.
  • Kaari SD Micro: Insert a Micro SD card (up to 128GB, not included) into the doorbell's designated slot for local storage of recordings.

6. Tiaki
