Upon first use, connect your Surface Pro 9 to the power supply. Press the power button located on the side of the device. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the Windows 11 Professional setup, including language selection, network connection, and Microsoft account sign-in.
2. Attaching the Surface Pro Signature Mechanical Keyboard
The Surface Pro Signature Mechanical Keyboard attaches magnetically to the bottom edge of your Surface Pro 9. Align the keyboard's magnetic connector with the corresponding port on the tablet until it clicks into place. The keyboard will automatically be recognized by the device.

Operating Your Surface Pro 9
1. Tablet Mode and Touchscreen Interaction
The Surface Pro 9 excels in tablet mode. The 13-inch PixelSense touchscreen display supports multi-touch gestures for navigation, zooming, and interacting with applications. You can detach the keyboard to use it purely as a tablet.

2. Using the Integrated Kickstand
The integrated Kickstand on the back of the Surface Pro 9 allows for flexible viewing angles, from an upright laptop position to a nearly flat angle for writing or drawing. Adjust the kickstand to your desired position for optimal comfort and usability.
