This manual provides essential instructions for the safe installation, operation, and maintenance of your Dimplex 50 Inch Slim Built-in Linear Electric Fireplace Heater, Model PLF5014-XS. Please read all instructions carefully before installation and use to ensure proper function and safety.
The Dimplex electric fireplace offers a slim design for flexible installation, multi-color flame technology, and supplemental heating capabilities. It includes an acrylic crystal ember bed and a remote control for convenient operation.
2. Nga Korero Haumaru Nui
Always follow basic precautions to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and injury to persons.

The Dimplex Slim Electric Fireplace is designed for flexible installation, allowing for full recess into 2x4 framing, partial recess, or wall-mounted installation.
4.1 Kōwhiringa Tāuta
This fireplace can be installed in various configurations to suit your space:
- Kua Whakatakotoria Katoa: The unit sits flush into new or existing 2x4 framing.
- Partially Recessed: A portion of the unit is recessed, with the front extending slightly from the wall.
- Whakapuru-taiepa: The unit is mounted directly onto the wall surface using the included bracket.

4.2 Nga Ahua me te Whakamama
Ensure adequate space and clearances for proper installation and operation. The unit's shallow depth allows for integration into standard framing.

4.3 Hononga Hiko
The fireplace requires a dedicated 120V, 15 Amp circuit. Consult a qualified electrician for hardwiring or ensure the power cord is connected to a grounded outlet.

5. Nga Tohutohu Whakahaere
Your Dimplex electric fireplace can be operated using the included remote control or the control panel located on the unit.
5.1 Paewhiri Mana
The control panel on the fireplace unit allows for basic adjustments.

5.2 Mana Mamao
The remote control provides full functionality for your fireplace.

5.3 Nga Mahi
- Hiko Whakaka/Weto: Ka whakahohe, ka whakakore ranei i te waeine.
- Pānga mura: Utilize Multi-Fire SL-Technology for a multi-layered flame appearance. Adjust flame color (Yellow, Orange, Blue, Mixed) and flame speed.
- Moenga Ember: The acrylic crystal ember bed can have its color adjusted to complement the flame effects.
- Mahi Wera: Provides supplemental heat for areas up to 400 sq ft. The air circulation mode helps distribute heat efficiently. Adjust the temperature setting and utilize the built-in timer for up to 8 hours of operation. The unit can be operated with or without the heat function.

6. Tiaki

- Wae Roto: There are no user-serviceable parts inside the fireplace. Do not attempt to open the unit for internal cleaning or repairs.
7. Te Raru
If you experience issues with your Dimplex electric fireplace, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
