6.2.1. Removing Keycaps

  1. Use the provided keycap puller.
  2. Place the puller over the keycap you wish to remove, ensuring both sides clip onto the keycap.
  3. Gently pull straight up to detach the keycap from the switch stem.

6.2.2. Removing Switches

  1. First, remove the keycap from the switch.
  2. Use the provided switch puller. Align the prongs of the puller with the two clips on the top and bottom of the switch housing.
  3. Squeeze the puller to compress the clips and gently pull the switch straight up from the PCB.

6.2.3. Installing Switches

  1. Ensure the new switch's pins are straight. If bent, carefully straighten them with tweezers.
  2. Align the switch with the hot-swap socket on the PCB, ensuring the pins match the holes.
  3. Gently press the switch down until it clicks into place. Do not force it. If resistance is met, re-check pin alignment.
  4. Test the switch to ensure it functions correctly before replacing the keycap.
