Follow these steps to assemble your JONSBO N2 NAS ITX Case with your components.

2.1. Whakaritenga

Before beginning, ensure you have the following components:

  • SFX Power Supply (maximum 150mm length)
  • 3.5-inch Hard Disk Drives (up to 5)
  • 2.5-inch Solid State Drive (1)
  • Pro Itifile PCI Expansion Card (optional, maximum 197mm length)
  • CPU Cooler (maximum 65mm height)

2.2. Case Disassembly

The JONSBO N2 features a removable top cover and a magnetic front panel for easy access.

2.3. Motherboard and CPU Cooler Installation

  2. Install your CPU cooler. Ensure its height does not exceed 65mm to allow the top cover to close properly.

  2. 2.5-inch SSD: Mount the 2.5-inch SSD in its dedicated slot, typically located behind the motherboard tray or within the drive cage structure.
  3. Connect SATA data and power cables to all installed drives.

If using a low-profile PCI expansion card:

  1. Remove the appropriate PCI slot cover from the rear of the case.
  2. Insert the low-profile expansion card into the motherboard's PCI-E slot. The card length must not exceed 197mm.

2.7. Front Panel and Cooling Connections

  1. Connect the front panel headers (USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-C, USB 3.0, Audio+Mic, Power/Reset) to the corresponding pins on your motherboard.

2.8. Cable Management and Reassembly

  1. Route all cables neatly to ensure optimal airflow and prevent interference with components. Use cable ties as needed.
  2. Slide the top cover back into place and secure it with screws.
  3. Reattach the magnetic front panel.

3.2. Hot-Swapping Drives

The JONSBO N2 supports hot-swapping for its 3.5-inch HDD bays. Ensure your motherboard and operating system are configured to support hot-swapping before attempting this procedure.

  1. Safely eject the drive from your operating system.
  2. Gently pull the handle of the desired drive bay to release and remove the drive.
  3. Insert a new 3.5-inch HDD into the empty bay, ensuring it slides in smoothly until it locks into place.
  4. The operating system should detect the new drive.

Regular maintenance helps ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your JONSBO N2 case and its components.
