Hononga Waea
All wiring should be done with the vehicle's battery disconnected. Use high-quality wiring of appropriate gauge to minimize power loss and ensure safe operation.
Hononga Mana
- GND (Te Papa): Connect to a clean, solid metal point on the vehicle chassis. Ensure the connection is free of paint or rust.
- REM (Whakakā Mamao): Hono atu ki te putanga mamao o tō waeine matua. Ka hurihia e tēnei waea te ampWhakakā, whakaweto hoki te pūoko hiko me tō reo irirangi.
- +12V (Mana): Connect directly to the positive terminal of the vehicle's battery. An inline fuse holder with the correct amperage rating (not provided, consult specifications for recommended fuse size) must be installed within 18 inches of the battery.

Hononga Whakauru Ororongo
The G1000.4D supports both low-level (RCA) and high-level inputs.
- Tāuru Taumata-iti (RCA): Honoa nga taura RCA mai i to mahunga o mua-amp putanga ki te amplifier's RCA input jacks (CH1/CH2, CH3/CH4).
- Tāuru Taumata-Teitei: If your head unit does not have RCA outputs, use the high-level input connectors. Connect the speaker wires from your head unit directly to these inputs.

Nga Tohutohu Whakahaere
Kotahi te amplifier is properly installed and wired, you can begin adjusting its settings for optimal sound performance.
Whiwhi Whakatikatika
The GAIN control matches the output of your head unit to the input sensitivity of the amplifier. Start with the gain at minimum. Play a familiar piece of music at about 75% of your head unit's maximum volume. Slowly increase the amplifier's gain until you hear distortion, then back off slightly. The CLIP indicator light can assist in this process, illuminating when the signal is clipping.
Tautuhinga Whakawhiti
The G1000.4D features adjustable High Pass Filter (HPF) and Low Pass Filter (LPF) for each channel pair (CH1/CH2 and CH3/CH4).
- HPF (Tatari Whakawhitinga Teitei): Allows frequencies above the set point to pass through. Use for full-range speakers to prevent low bass frequencies from distorting them.
- LPF (Tatari Utu Iti): Allows frequencies below the set point to pass through. Use for subwoofers to ensure they only reproduce bass frequencies.
- KATOA: Bypasses the crossover, allowing all frequencies to pass through.
Adjust the crossover frequency according to your speaker types and desired sound. Typical settings for full-range speakers might be 80-120Hz HPF, while subwoofers would use an LPF in a similar range.
Te tiaki
Your DS18 G1000.4D ampHe iti noa te tiaki e hiahiatia ana mō te kaiwhakaora kia roa ai te mahi.
- Te horoi: Ia wā horoia te ampHe kakahu ngohengohe, maroke te taha o waho. Kaua e whakamahi i nga matū kino, i nga horoi horoi ranei.
- Whakahau: Me whakarite ko te amplifier's heatsink fins are free from dust and debris to maintain proper cooling.
- Hononga: Tirohia i ētahi wā ngā hononga hiko, whenua, mana mamao, me te pūoro kia mōhio ai kei te mau tonu, ā, kāore he waikura.
