Te Whakaritenga i te Wa
- Pull the crown out to position 2 (farthest out). The second hand will stop.
- Turn the crown to move the hour and minute hands clockwise until the desired time is set. Ensure the AM/PM is correctly set if your watch has a 24-hour indicator or date changes at midnight.
- Push the crown back into position 0 (normal position). The second hand will resume movement.
Whakaritea te Ra
- Pull the crown out to position 1 (first click).
- Turn the crown clockwise or counter-clockwise (depending on the movement) until the correct date appears in the date window.
- Panahia te karauna ki te tuunga 0.
Tuhipoka: Avoid setting the date between 9:00 PM and 3:00 AM, as this may interfere with the automatic date change mechanism. If you need to set the date during this period, first set the time outside this range, then adjust the date, and finally reset the time.
Setting the Dual Time Sub-dial
The left sub-dial indicates a second time zone. Refer to the specific movement instructions if available, as adjustment methods can vary. Typically, this is set independently using a small recessed pusher or by a specific crown position.
Te Mahi i te Mahi Chronograph
Your watch is equipped with a chronograph (stopwatch) function. The bottom sub-dial measures seconds, and the right sub-dial measures minutes.

Image 2: Chronograph Detail. This close-up shows the intricate details of the watch dial, emphasizing the three sub-dials and the two pushers (A and B) located on the right side of the watch case, which control the chronograph functions.
- Tīmata: Press pusher A (top pusher) to start the chronograph. The chronograph second hand (bottom sub-dial) will begin to move.
- Aukati: Press pusher A again to stop the chronograph. The elapsed time will be indicated by the chronograph second and minute hands.
- Tautuhi: After stopping, press pusher B (bottom pusher) to reset the chronograph hands to their zero positions.
Split Time Function (if applicable)
Some chronographs offer a split-time function. If your watch supports this:
- Tīmata: Press pusher A to start.
- Ritua: Press pusher B to measure a split time. The chronograph hands will stop, allowing you to read the elapsed time, while the internal timing continues.
- Anō: Press pusher B again to catch up the chronograph hands to the ongoing elapsed time.
- Stop & Reset: Press pusher A to stop, then pusher B to reset.
