This section provides instructions for setting up your hygger Rechargeable Aquarium Pond Air Pump. Ensure all components are present before beginning installation.

Carefully remove all items from the packaging. The package includes:
- 1 x Air Pump Unit
- 1 x Pūurutau Hiko
- 1 x Ngongo Matua
- 1 x Diverter Valve (with 4 or 6 outlets depending on model)
- 1 x Takitaki takirere
- 4 x Thin Hoses
- 8 x Kohatu Air

1.2 Connecting the Air Hoses and Air Stones
- Connect the main hose to the air outlet on the air pump unit.
- Attach the diverter valve to the other end of the main hose.

- Install the check valve in-line on the main hose to prevent water backflow into the pump.

Press the 'ON/OFF' button to power the unit on or off. The pump operates in both AC (when plugged in) and DC (battery-powered) modes. The LCD display shows the current voltage me te ōrau pākahikotage.

2.2 Adjustable Air Flow
The air pump features a 9-level adjustable air volume control knob. Rotate the knob to increase or decrease the airflow. The diverter valve also allows for individual adjustment or closure of specific air outlets.

2.3 Mana Outage Tiaki
When the unit is plugged into a power adapter, it operates on AC power and simultaneously charges the internal battery. In the event of a power failure, the pump will automatically switch to battery power, ensuring continuous oxygen supply to your aquatic environment. The minimum flow setting can provide up to 100 hours of operation, while the maximum flow can last for approximately 8 hours (based on single air stone experiment).

3. Tiaki
Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and efficient operation of your air pump.
3.1 Air Stone Care
Soak new air stones in water before initial use to ensure optimal bubble diffusion. Periodically clean or replace air stones to prevent clogging and maintain consistent airflow.
3.2 Tiaki Pūhiko
Avoid overcharging the battery. While the unit is designed for continuous charging, prolonged excessive charging can impact battery life. Disconnect the charger once fully charged if not needed for immediate backup.
4. Te Raru
If you encounter issues with your air pump, refer to the following common troubleshooting tips:
- Kore Rererangi: Check all hose connections for kinks or blockages. Ensure air stones are not clogged. Verify the unit is powered on and the battery is charged or the power adapter is connected.
- Rerenga hau ngoikore: Adjust the air volume control knob to a higher setting. Inspect air stones for partial clogging. Ensure the diverter valve outlets are fully open for the desired hoses.
- Kāore te Wāhanga e Utu ana: Confirm the power adapter is correctly plugged into both the unit and a working power outlet. Check the power adapter for any damage.
- Haruru rereke: Ensure the unit is placed on a stable, flat surface. Check for any loose connections or foreign objects obstructing the air intake/outlet.
