The WORKPRO Multi Tool is designed for immediate use. No assembly is required. Upon receiving your tool, inspect it for any signs of damage. It may be slightly stiff initially; repeated opening and closing of the tools will improve their fluidity.

4.1 Opening the Pliers

To access the pliers, simply unfold the two handles away from each other until the pliers are fully extended and locked into position. The pliers feature a spring-loaded design for ease of use.

4.2 Accessing Individual Tools

Individual tools are stored within the handles. Each tool has a small notch or protrusion for easy access. To deploy a tool, use your thumb or finger to pull it out from its stored position until it clicks into place, indicating it is locked.

5.1 Safety Lock Mechanisms

The WORKPRO Multi Tool features two distinct safety lock mechanisms to ensure secure operation and prevent accidental closure:

• Liner Safety Lock: This lock controls the "big tools" that open inward, such as the wood/metal file, serrated knife, knife, and saw. When these tools are fully deployed, the liner lock engages, preventing them from folding back unintentionally. To disengage, push the liner lock to the side and fold the tool back into the handle.

• Back Safety Lock: This lock controls the "small tools" that open outward, including the wire stripper, can opener, small & large slotted screwdrivers, scissors, rope cutter, and Phillips screwdrivers (PH0 & PH3). This mechanism prevents these tools from stacking together or accidentally closing during use. To disengage, press the back lock lever and fold the tool back into the handle.

5.2 Using Specific Tools

• Pliers (Long Nose, Regular, Wire Cutters, Crimper): Unfold the handles to expose the pliers. Use the spring-loaded action for gripping, cutting, or crimping wires. The hard wire cutter is suitable for wires from 1.0-1.2mm.
• Knife/Serrated Knife/Rope Cutter: Deploy the desired blade until the liner lock engages. Use with care for cutting tasks.
• Screwdrivers (Slotted, Phillips): Deploy the appropriate screwdriver. Ensure it is fully locked before applying torque.
• Ka taea te whakatuwhera: Deploy the can opener tool. Position it on the rim of the can and apply pressure while moving around the can.
• Kutikuti: Deploy the scissors. Use for light cutting tasks.
• Saw: Deploy the saw blade. Use for cutting wood or other soft materials.
