3. Tatūnga

3.2 Attaching/Detaching the Battery:

  • Hei Wehe: Press the battery release button (if present) and slide the battery out.

3.3 Attaching Polishing/Sanding Pads:

  1. Ensure the polisher is turned off and the battery is removed.
  2. Select the appropriate pad (sanding paper, flat sponge, wave sponge, wool buffer, or microfiber pad) for your task.
  3. Align the pad with the backing plate on the polisher. The pads typically attach via hook-and-loop (Velcro) fasteners.
  4. Press the pad firmly onto the backing plate to ensure a secure attachment.

  • To turn on the polisher, press the power switch.

  • Tere 5-6 (3234-3634 RPM): For heavy-duty polishing, scratch removal, or sanding.

4.3 General Polishing Techniques:

  1. Apply a small amount of polish or compound directly to the pad or the surface.
  2. Place the pad flat on the surface before turning on the polisher.
  3. Start the polisher at a low speed and spread the product evenly over a small section.
  4. Increase the speed as needed and move the polisher in overlapping passes, maintaining even pressure.
  5. Avoid applying excessive pressure, as this can reduce efficiency and potentially damage the surface.
  6. For optimal results, work in small sections (e.g., 2x2 feet for car panels).

5. Tiaki

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your KIMO QM-5005 polisher.
